Thread: Landing on the aircraft carrier | Forums

  1. #1
I am trying to land the Seafire on the aircraft carrier at the end of
the North African photo reconnaisance phase. Even with the landing gear
down and the S button pressed, it is still flying too fast. Is there
anything else that should be done?

Thanks to belfastkiller for trying to help - the only advice from the incompetants at ubisoft was to call their â£1 a minute rip-off line.

Unfortunately, it still does not work - as far as I can see, some idiot has made this so difficult as to be practically impossible.

Unfold the landinggear. Approach the carrier at lowest speed (keep the speed to a minimum) and lower height until you tough the deck and remember to keep the speed at lowest speed. Keep the plane steady and do not lower height otherwise the nose will drill in the carrier. Let the plane roll until it is at full stop.

You need a bit op practice.

I find it easiest to use one of the support ships to help you line up for landing on the carrier

Get yourself dead straight and let the gear down and then hold the throttle down button and you will notice it looks like flaps have come down. Aim your approach so that your wheels hit right at the end of the carrier and keep on holding the throttle down button. You should come to a nice little stop a few foot from the end of the carrier in time for tea and medals

After a couple of go's you'll get the hang of it

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM THAT ldnik1974. I AM PISSED TRYING. I HAVE THE PLAINE, I REDUCE THE VELOCITY, MY LANDING GEAR IS DOWN, Y TOUCH DOWN THE CARRIER IN THE FIRST 1/3 OF THE CARRIER. THE PLANES GOES DOWN WITH THE NOUSE, IF I PULL THE JOYSTICK, THE PLAINE GOES UP, AND I DONT KNOW WHAT CAN I DO TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM.
