My peeps, please help us test out this new social networking thing. Twitter is a networking site that will allow people who are linked up with us to get our brief announcements and updates the second we post them.

QuakeCon and BlizzCon are going to be experimental Twitter events for us and we would like you guys to help out! Since there's all this rad stuff going on at these events (gaming, Casting Calls, WoW tourney commentating, more gaming...) and we will be doing live coverage. Twitter will allow us to let people who sign up know about stuff as it happens.

The thing I'm the most excited about is that you can get notices in a number of different ways... IM, RSS, SMS, etc. We can also send them a number of different ways... IM, RSS, SMS, blogs, etc.

Imagine we're in the middle of an MLG tournament, I can just text an update about the team's progress and our friends will all get a text message. The "tweets" are only 140 characters long, so we're not going to overload you, it's just a cool way to keep in touch.

Done & Done. What's one more account on a random social networking site that I'll probably never use?

I did however add the RSS feed to my homepage so I'll be able to follow it there without having to access the twitter site.

I don't know if it's related to the twitter thing at the top of the screen but it's going to take me a long time to get used to the forums not filling my entire screen like they used to.

While you're at it, can you tell them to fix the twitter shizzle at the top so it doesnt shrink the width of the forum? I don't have a 24" wide screen for nothing you know.

Yeah, no kidding. I figured that's what caused it.

I'll sign up for this later. Hope it doesn't shrink my monitor.
