Ok, I've read all the posts I can find, used the 3rd level help in the game, and I am still missing something big...

I have never found the three windpipes to be able to see their shapes. I don't get it. The only shapes I have seen are on teh gears.

I have played the frequencies using the help because I have looked what I feel is everywhere and have never found whatever it is that tells you the cyrstals and their frequencies. I look at the numbers and I have no clue from anywhere else on teh level they have come from

I have gotten the locks to all four pop out of their little holes, but nothing happens adn I can't open the chair.

I have no idea what to do because I have obviously missed something vital and the help doesn't help anymore! I really like to figure these things out myself but this is a f*&$ing b*&tch!!

Hm,

You're sure the locks have popped?

And you've pressed the blue button on the right hand side? Have the "steps" risen? You should be able to see them between the four locks. If you can't see the steps, then the number sequences again.

I can't really think of anything else.

All four pieces of stuff are sticking out through their little holes, and when I push the blue button it doesn't do anything... it acts like it's still, well LOCKED!!

I'm going to find a way to reset it and do it again... I've re-read other posts about hte timing thing and I think I have a better understanding of that.

I'm still bewildered as to where one would have found the freqencies and their associated crystals (6-12-4, 3-1-7, etc.... ) without consulting the level 3 help. I'd still like to understand what I missed.

Also when I went to the other palace and used the telescope I couldn't get it to zoom in, only to go up, down, right and left, so I'm wondering if the stuff I have missed somehow enabled that too?

have you checked the gears and power i found that i couldnt get the crystal to vibrate until the gears were correct and the sound you here sould be sound not noise.

I got it... perhaps it was a bug or a glitch, because I did, indeed have all the locks unlocked. I reset the whole thing by going back down to the gear level (which were correct so I didn't touch them) and came back up adn entered all four as quickly as I could and it worked.

By the way, I'd still like to know where we were supposed to have found the four frequencies that correlated to the four substances (the 6-12-4, 3-1-7 stuff). If anyone can shed some light on that I'd appreciate it!

I'm off to Haven or Serenia now (not sure yet which)... the one that the book was left on the dock when I got back from Spire.

Hope I don't have to ask so many questions in this age!

It was all written in the documents u found(well some of it)
The Nara bit was easy (all power 12-12-12).
The Blue crystal: first control set to 3 (document) also in the documents was something about all power from base was needed, that's a total of 11 power. Only 8 to distribute to the last two controls. You just have to try the combinations.
The other crystal: There was a document saying 8-12-4 for this crystal. This combination didn't work but the crystal was vibrating, by playing around with the controls u can get the right settings.
The rock: There was something in the documents about 20 power needed. I did this by trial and error just trying different settings. I must have been lucky cause I got it right the first time.

Obviously, I haven't found some of the documents. Could I have a hint as to where you found:
a/ The document about the other crystal mentioning that "8-12-4" almost worked .

b/ The document about the Blue Crystal showing that the first control should be set to 3 .

I had found the other stuff and managed to tune two crystals, but I was stumped for these two remaining ones (too many combinations to try, really...)... I have explored a hundred times all the locations, but I must have a blind spot, I just can't see those two precious docs you refer to.

The sort of thing that generally happens when you post a question... I have explored again, and this time I have found one of the two notes, the one about the 8-12-4 being almost right... (typical game trap, I fell for it: one should always look carefully at "less obvious places" such as passageways, staircases... and beware the distracting items!)

I'm still looking for the other one (the Blue Crystal beginning with "3"), so any hint will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Okay... I'll list all the places I can remember.

1.) By Sirrus' bed, on the floor near his water basin.
2&3.) Same area, over by the three wire spindles. Look at the floor. There's a hatch that you can open, with two papers inside.
4.) Very close to No.2, out in plain sight.
5.) A few steps away from the elevator, on the floor.
6.) There's a long list of various frequencies in the hands of the Atrus and Catherine statue, near the spider chair.


EDIT: More specifically, I believe the blue crystal page is in location No.2. Just look for a round recess with a bolt in it, that's the handle.

Thanks, Mysti Sage, you're a champ. The one I missed is the one by Sirrus' bed. There are TWO Blue Crystal notes, in fact. The other one gives the indication that total should be garden production + docking area production. It is still possible to work it out without the Sirrus' bed one (just 18 combinations to try out, if one is patient...)

About location 6: this frequencies series document is puzzling. It contains the 10-10-5 combo twice. Doesn't sound at all like the Sirrus I have come to know (if not to love...), really sloppy work to do the same combo twice. In any case, this document seems superfluous, since it is clear from other documents that combinations of 3 have to be worked out. Well, doesn't hurt anyway, one can never have a surfeit of hints...
