Thread: TMO bug or battle damage? | Forums

Feb 1945, Balao class out of Fremantle...attacked convoy, sank two ships...went to 650 feet to get away, took a severe depth charging on way down, many close charges....one bow tube destroyed, others damaged, minor bulkhead damage, other systems damaged.5 inch deck gun destroyed.

Noticed after surfacing that my sonar would not rotate, could still hear, but the cursor on the sonar stack would not rotate, but no sonar damage was reported. Also, all depth gauges, engine telegraphs and other gauges no longer functioned.

This happened on a career in a Salmon in 1944 after a severe depth charging also.

So wondering if this is battle damage that is not reported or a bug?

    Anyone else had this happen?

For me, burnout is always one step away.

pretty much every gauge, none of depth gauges worked...the two main ones in the control room above the plane control wheels stayed stucked at 0 feet, as did the 600 ft depth gauage in the center.Same with conning tower depth gauge.Basically none of the gauges functioned any longer nor did the sonar dial.

I have not added any subs other than some German and Japanese subs and only added the AI boats you already had in the game.So perhaps its as you said, just didnt catch it yet.

This occured in 1.7 both times.

Any ideawhy it seems to happen only after a severe drumming by escorts? or just coincidence?
