    Armour-61
    Ships-74
    Other Objects-173
    Buildings etc-431

    Placeable Static Cameras

    ALSO.......

A full mission Builder that once you get past the outward complexity... and the lack of things like triggers notwithstanding that can fully utilize all of the above mentioned objects. In addition settable targets for Recon, Escort,Ground Attack,Air Attack,Take Off,Landing......

    Add to that:
The ability to record viewable tracks either on the fly or after the mission is done.. depending on whether or not you are online.

24 settable levels of difficulty ranging from no death no crash no damage to locked in the ****pit with your head on a swivel.

Scalable controls for the guy with the $300 HOTAS setup... or the guy with the $39 bargain stick....

Scalable settings so that if you have a 4 year old CPU on a 4 year old video card you can fly..... if you have a top of the line mega system you can REALLY fly......

Offline or online play... with as many planes in the air as your CPU can handle... up to 128....

Stunning graphics that are almost photo realistic. Damage models that are un equaled in any WW2 era air combat simulator. AI that while stupid at times.. with the right mix of numbers and skill levels can present a challenge to just about anyone.

A clock that runs in real time. Run a mission offline. Set the time to your time.... park your plane and go to bed. When you wake up the next morning....

User made utilities that make up for some of the shortcomings in the sim... and some that just make the good things even it better.

I may have missed a thing or two but thats the gist of it. Not too shabby if you ask me.

This sim is not as perfect and all inclusive as some of us might like..... and yes.... there should absolutely be a flyable Avenger & Kate in here if there were only two other planes added.... but as this sim is right now it is a top notch product..... that is unequaled.

<span class="ev_code_GREEN">*</span> This portion of this list was made prior to patch 4.03m more has been added in 1946 and in patch 4.08

This sim is hands down the best WWII combat flight sim to date. You wont be sorry.

    <span class="ev_code_YELLOW">In addition there are......</span>

    Maps-70+ <span class="ev_code_GREEN">*</span>

    Moving Objects <span class="ev_code_GREEN">*</span>
    Armor-227
    Vehicles-56
    Trains-22
    Ships-75

    Stationary Objects: <span class="ev_code_GREEN">*</span>
    Armour-61

Agree Bear! Starting to panic here. Always planned on buying a back up set just to have in case something goes wrong with one of my CD's.

Sim is just too good not to have a backup.

An excellent point that deserves to be re-presented from time-to-time, lest some forget.

I've yet to come across better value than the few bucks I've spent on the IL2 series.

    Well said, Bearcat!

Here here Bearcat! And mescof1 im glad Im not the only one who's considered getting "Backups" for their IL2 collection.Like its gotta be worth gettin' the AEP anyway as it gets rarer. And a gold pack seems like a good investment even for those who already have the full set.You never know when a drive will mangle a disc!!!(Ive just bought my third copy of Wings of War,the WW1 "sim"-we all have our dark secrets!!!)I think it might be a bit early to start worrying about Il2,FB or PF availability they seem to be in widespread supply. Its a shame(bargain)how the original Il2 languishes in the bargain bins at 5 euro/pounds/bucks.There CANT be a better way to spend that kinda cash!!!And while its often said it bears repeating the original Il2 was the momma of them all .And is still more than able to hold its own-Ive no doubt it will kick the A** off the forthcoming(?-their "two weeks" lasts 2 months!!!)BOB2 Rowan rehash.
