Really? What are the specs exactly?
If it actually does meet the required specs then the problem is that your video card driver is not compatible with FC. Many of the newest drivers aren't all that stable with this game. I'm still using 71.89 for my 6600GT and my other 6800le and both are running great.
Could be your video card drivers, Assuming you are using a Geforce FX5*** series or Geforce 4, with nvidia drivers 77.72 will crash the game at start-up, 71.89 will work with these cards.
