Thread: Define BOOSTIG for me | Forums

  1. #1
Im just wondering what people consider boosting on here, because so many people complain about boosters.

Is it someone who uses the spawn glitch?

Someone who leaves the game on team leader overnight?

Is it someone who only plays campaign and terrorist hunt?

Is it anyone who plays team leader?

Or is it anyone who plays anything but team deathmatch?

I think the first two are boosting, but it seems like some people have other ideas.

my definition of a booster is someone who takes advantage of, or exploits a part of the game, whether it's the respawning turret gunner on level 1, or schmucking around in team leader with your buddies, to earn xp without actually competitively playing the game the way it was meant to be played. are they cheating? no. but i think it's just a silly way to earn a set of silver wings. IMHO

I got tired of waiting for my elite clothing line and night vision goggles, so i played team leader for about my xp. I also got tired of trying to get my assault aces, so i decided to nade the hell out of everyone. Boosting is all about not competing for xp, just killing people who don't fight back.

No I think that is a good way of describing it. It's hard to say if boosting is cheating or not. Most people will take advantage if they can to get ahead, you know? If there are things in a game that can help you raise your stats faster, then why not take advantage of those? But then again, is it really fair to other players? So maybe it is more of a question of whether it is fair or not.

What is the big deal guys? Honestly, I don't get the logic behind this... Ok, I am a noob, I only play SP Campaign game but I want to boost my rank to Elite to appear like I am some sort of Bada$$, where do I benefit boosting if I am going to get my clock clean the first time I am on a real match with veteran players?

Do you honestly upsess about this? does it make you more or less of a man if you are a Corporal but yet you get 10 kills to 0 deaths or would you rather be called a General but get 0 kills to 10 deaths?

Bah, never mind... who cares, sorry for the rant gents.

You hit it on the head Snipe... people like to think that rank = skill, but I haven't met an elite yet that was any good, granted I haven't played in a week or so.

Yesterday i played with an Elite yesterday that went 75 and 11 in a team deathmatch.

I just wanted to know what people considered boosting, im not obsessed at all with it. I could care less.

The only reason i want to become an elite is not because i think it would show i have more skill, but so i can get custom camo.
