Has anyone been able to get to the sailboat in the DAM level? I have tried to ram the gate with the big truck. I have tried to swim to the boat but get killed by a helo. Has anyone been able to get to this thing?

No its an auto kill zone, you cannot get to it.
I am sure you will get a lecture on posting spoilers so prepare yourself.

Park the Big truck with it's nose between the
tree on the right and the fence,
then "f", climb the truck from the back
and jump over the fence

**SPOILER**I was wondering how many , or if anyone else had figured out how to get to that darn sailboat ! If you try to swim ,apparently the water is too HOT-you will die. But those jeeps and trucks are useful for more than just driving. But ,because it serves no purpose...the sailboat is non-functioning and one quickly gets bored on the other side of the fence. And like anything else just beyond our reach....we cant help ourselves...we just have to figure out how to get over there.

??? I've been down to the sailboat a couple of times. After the level is "safe",
I just walk down the stairs, and nose around it. Nothing to do.
I am still struggling to get down the waterfall. I have not seen where I can climb up the mountain at the back. Is there anyone that will take a few minutes and take me through it step by step
The climb is a bit left behind the tree:first you aim up for the bushes,the last piece you turn a bit right to the little tree (all just w!)Better pick up the gun first,and sprint (shiftw)up the slope,to get high enough for the Trigent!palriaan:

Then you can go right,but not far enough:you attrackt a kill-chopper,there are AKL's
To the left you'd best climb the far left slope:
just w,its slow,but you get there!
You can walk far down,but where it bends to the right there's another AKL....
You can slide down a bit further down on the left;then a bit uphill again is possible,but
soon you trigger the kill-chopper
Better slide down to the normal level,facing trigens and a jumper,but also finding an AG25
and ammo in the right-down area,on your way to the chopper-wreck.
After spawning you can also take a wide (lefthand,facing the valley)circle-walk with/without gun toward the
waterfall,and jump down,swim the river till the water gets to undeep.
Here you face a trigen:
(kill fast &) run or die...(No gun is faster)
If you make it, its easy to
swim/walk to the dead chopper...Time for a bloodbath
