What suprise me is that some games start selling before relese dates. I mean some shops start to sell them earlyer...
You guys know what the final stage before a game "goes gold" is, right? They've added all the content to the game they are going to; it's in a cycle of bug fixing. The find bugs, they fix them, they test to see if they work now and to see if the fix broke something else. Rinse, repeat. Sometimes that process takes longer than estimated. In this case, it didn't take nearly as long. They got it where they wanted it, so went ahead and sent it to manufacturing.
