iv seen the art of the academy and i must tell you that i think its the worst town so far (neck to neck with the sylvan).
the fact is I havnt even seen screen shots of the academy and it seems like ppl havnt put much thought to it.
ill be glad if you post your thoughts about this manner
It is way to early to tell... All I have seen are the scans from the Russian magazine...
When the information will be officially released, we'll have a better idea about how the Academy is like...
I like almost everything about the Sylvan (I only hate the long ears!).

from what i have seen sofar in the russion magazine, i think the academy looks really awesome. especially the genie with those massive hands and the giant/titan. i even think the gremlin is cool, it looks mysterious.

my god..,this is one of your first posts and immediatly you start complaining... you haven't even seen the ingame academycreatures yet.
and i just love the sylvan btw, it's one of the best towns they have
i like that they ll have 3 ranged units and 3 spellcasters in academy. this art of combat, using many spells and ranged attacks is the one you need most intelligence for to keep yor casualties low.
I'm kind of dissappointed we haven't seen or heard anything about the Academy yet, even though all the other towns have been revealed with unit info, and it's been weeks since we got any info period...
Do you think Academy feels like a living town... They put effort into making each town have a background in an attempt to make it feel living and breathing. I love this idea. However....
Haven = Human Race
Necro = Undead Race
Sylvan = Elf Race
Dungeon = Dark Elf
Inferno = Demon Race
Academy = ??? there is no race...magic race? pfft
So far this is the only draw back (as we dont know the story yet it isn't major).
Perhaps they are a group of magic users that banded together to protect magic?
I like the look of the creatures too. Golem, mage, genie
and esp Rakassahahahhshashae and the titan

Well I don't like academy.. But I was didnt like order, and I didnt like tower!.. So it is just me, a matter of taste.. I think the Titan is done excellently based on what ive seen so far...
I hate the Gremlin, but can such a creature be cool, or pretty! I just hate the whole concept, all in all academy is done fine..
And you say that you think Sylvan is bad too?!!! I love it! I absolutely adore it, whereas The Castle was my favourite, both in III and IV - Rampart - oh sorry Sylvan is now, the druid looks are awesome, and the High elf is just *Drool* - lets se what the war dancers can do, They look pretty strange, but time will tell, the dragon is excellently made too. I am satisifed.

The point was not good vs evil and storyline etc..
Its that they have no civilian core units. Who built there community? who keeps the town running? etc. (i know we have no storyline yet) but it seems as if they are a bunch of misfit creatures with no core units. ALL heroes 5 castles have at least core(civilian) 3 units except for ACADEMY.
Human = All of them
Inferno = All except Nightmare & Cerberus
Necro = Lich, Vampire, Wraiths, Spectres?
Sylvan = War Dancer, Druid, High elf
Dung = Shadow Mat, Assassin, Dark Champ
I love how Academy is shaping but this is going to annoy me until i find out what the story behind them is.
