Thread: Does anyone else get baby tsunamis? | Forums

I've bought the PC version of From Dust on steam yesterday and got it to work after updating my video card driver. It works fine but I've stumbled across two bugs which ruin my enjoyment of the game.

First I noticed these weird clothes lines/flags popping up all around the place, spreading from the village and replacing the vegetation. I figure these are supposed to pop up sparingly but they take up huge swathes of land instead

Secondly in the level "roar of the sea" and subsequent level featuring the huge wall, the tsunamis are baby sized. In roar of the sea the first starting village wont even be destroyed by it, even without the water protection it will only flood around half of it and the first half of the island it is on, the land behind is completely unscathed. The second village is never in any danger whatsoever making it impossible to even lose on this level. The next level features a huge wall that the tsunami should flood over in places, showering one of the villages in water, but the tsunami is so low it wont even go over the lowest parts of the wall, again ruining the challenge of the entire level.

I've seen the size the tsunamis get in LP videos on youtube and these are not even close.
Am I the only one experiencing these two bugs?

I have noticed the colored flag streamers that popup on the first map, they really spread out far and I just thought it was normal, in subsequent maps I didn't notice it affecting my tree coverage meter any, so figured it is purely a visual to add some much needed color to the game.

The map where the tsunami comes completely surrounded my first village island and wiped out the bridge that I had created, it also went rather high up in the hillside and washed out a second sand bridge that I had created that was rather high up on the hill.

So, I've not experienced what you are as of yet.

I might be mistaken about that then. I just find it odd that they cover so much of the level, and they were present in "roar of the sea" too for me. I don't know, the flags might not be a bug
