Has anyone ever seen the Movie Funny games? Its a very raw twisted story about two young men who torture a family with some messed up games. I remember watching it years ago and it was pretty crazy.

This movie does not bend but instead breaks all of the film rules. At first it pissed me of when i first saw it, but then i realized that breaking the rules is what made it so great.

any way they are making an americal version of it with some familiar actor. Good news is, its by the same director.

Here are the trailers for the old and new versions.

this looks crazy as hell! but when I first read your post, I thought they made the people watch them play horrible video games! Even after I watched the trailer, I was like where's the video games, lol! But I get it now, I just had a spacey moment!

The remake is written and directed by Michael Haneke, who also wrote and directed the original film. Strange.

Gus Van Sant did that with Psycho - it was funded by Universal Studios

Ooh, not to hijack or anything, but has anyone ever seen Fellini's 8 1/2? Well, apparently there is a sequel or remake of it coming out as well, entitled [url=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0875034/Nine[/url]. Javier Bardem, Sophia Loren, Penelope Cruz... talk about a cast-o-munga!

Funny Games is Haneke's own film, remade by himself for an American audience. Van Sant did Psycho in order to prove a point about auteur filmmaking -- that it DOES matter who holds the camera; it's not the same film.
