TERRORIST HUNT!!!
Dont take my baby away from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty sure we can count on that! Ubi would have to be completely off their rocker to neglect TH, everybody loved it, well except for the "trigger" spawn system...![]()
Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 is a masterpiece in my opinion. I realize that some of what makes it great was included accidentally on purpose.I don't want to ramble like some bitter basement dweller (I read the whole thread). I'm really surprised at a lot of the comments or maybe baffled is more accurate. This what I believe made R6V2 great.
1) The ability to sprint sideways. Once a player became proficient at the controls you could literally do "the matrix" in front of a machine gun dodging left and right. AMAZING!!!
2) The host controls / hosting system. By putting the power in the hands of the players overpowered weapons and exploitable equipment were banned, Let the community balance and fix the game for you. Having player hosts also forced players to use headsets, use teamwork and it really made R6V2 a game community.
3) Team Leader is one of the best game modes ever conceived it's fun and tactical.
4) Bullet accuracy and damage.
People in past threads have whined about difficulty and damage. A friend of mine says that games are being designed more and more for the lowest common denominator.
Training wheels are being put on the guns. Auto aim/ Soft lock/ ect. UAV's and radar have become rampant. Please don't make a game for bad players, please do not dumb it down,
please make a real tactical shooter. After much disappoint with other recent tactical games it saddens me to say that I won't let myself get excited for the release of R6P. I'll buy it day one I know but my faith in game companies is shaken. If you're working on the game good luck and please make something wonderful.![]()
Could the next game after Patriots be set somewhere other than the United States? I'd even accept the UK.
Yep agree with all you say Veags2 had so much promise but Ubi just never supported the game.It was left with bugs and internet prob's which never were fixed, vegas could have pushed and kicked the **** out of COD if UBI had polished it up and came back with an update in 2009 they've left it that late now they don't know what direction to go!!
I've said it before and i'll say it again take what's best from Vegas2 and RB6 Patriots will be a winner )
Better way to keep track of your team in single player and terrorist hunt
No mods & no prone. You ******s this is r6 dont make it some cod crap.
Thank you
While I agree with the vast majority of your post, this I draw a certain disagreement with. In Vegas 2, the enemy was absolutely notorious (especially in realistic mode) for knowing exactly where you are when you shot with a suppressor, then sprinting toward you from across the map and while sprinting, getting a perfect head shot. While I'm fine with head shot's being instakill (since even if you have an Army of Two mask on, it'll still likely break your neck, or at the very least incapacitate you), there is no way in ****ing hell someone is going to be moving toward you (or for cover) and nail you with a head shot at 100 yards.
But while we're one the subject of realistic game mode, I know from experience that being under enormous stress, like, say, taking fire, dramatically affects your aim. On realistic mode, when bullets are flying in your general direction, I have no issue with drastically lowered accuracy. Perhaps, if Ubi allows the team to make this game more realistic than other FPS, they could implement it. But if , they want to also draw the fans they could have a mode called "Call of Battlefield" or something that provides aim assist, regenerative health, a ton of grenades, etc. etc. And, hell, even make that mode available online if people want to play CoD on it the servers. That will guarantee Ubi attracts a bigger crowd, those players will get mercilessly slaughtered playing R6 modes, and shouldn't be a general problem.
This, I disagree with. Prone is a great position to get down in. I, however, don't have any problem with your weapon being unusable when you drop, and you having to take two or three seconds to set up; longer if you have to set up a bipod. Prone will be useful if you have your team set up to guard a hallway with a machine gun; set him up on a bipod, get his head pointed down the sights and let him sit and massacre the first poor fool to run through there. Same with setting up in front of a door.
Also, while I agree with peoples' feelings on not making weapons unlockable, in order to attract more players there should be some unlockables. Of course, the most common are ranks, but perhaps titles to be displayed with your name, camouflage, clothing, chrome and gold plated guns, character features, etc. etc. And something similar to RSV2's level up system involving CQB, Marksman and assault (I believe they were), make certain challenges to unlock different titles, camo or weapon platings. This would still encourage trying to level up and all that jazz.
