Some of you will know that Jambo Towers is on the South Coast of England, very close to Brighton that is on the GWX map. There's a rich WW2 history here with Anti-Aircraft pill boxes still dotted around and other relics of a bygone era.
Including this little fellow, a U-Boat Searchlight Station during WW2, who can be found at the end of my beach:
Pretty well placed, given the view from just standing next to it at ground level:
What's more - He's a film star too! He features in this film, which starred 'Dracula' Christopher Lee:

And this is from a local website for my town, from WW2, of him illuminating the English Channel and keeping those U-Boats mad enough to try a Channel run out of the harbour here:
