    Now this is really News. He has been in power since 1959. His nephew has been handleing things part time since his medical issues last year, but if the Cuban people can push for actual elections, you cold see real changes in that country as well as opening doors for international trade.

    I heard on the radio this morning, he stepped down and put his brother in charge. Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?

    From what I have heard in the spanish community, his brother is the same. He is just a younger fidel.

    I wonder how cuba would have been if Fidel would have pursude baseball?

    I am not one for conspiracy theories but I wouldn't be surprised if he passed away while they had surgery on him and they've been playing it off. I bet if he passes within the next 6 months it may be the case
