Make sure you are not in SIlent running, and make sure you have enough men in there and that they are rested. The more people you have in your torpedo rooms that have a higher endurance the faster the torpedos will reload.

    Hope this helps!

    Not me!

I love the crew managment aspect. I think it adds a new level of immersion.

aye wasnt expecting to have to manage that jsut did that and the tubes reloaded thats gona be fun keeping tell these guys when they can sleep and **** seems kinda kinda silly these guys cant take care of tese matters on their own. Mean ya I should be able to leverage them to other comparments and interupt their sleep when needed but other than that they should take care of themselves when not at battlestations

Above each compartment is a green progress bar. It represents how well that compartment is functioning at the moment. What I've found is that if the efficiency drops too much, they can't do what they normally do. If the torpedo bay drops too low, they won't be able to reload. Discovered that last night, when I had the bulk of the crew in the quarters, resting. The first time anything like that happened, I had the engines shut down because the engine compartment efficiency dropped too low.

regarding crew mngmnt, can yoiu tell me what the red exclamation point represents?

I love the simulation, yet the manual is lacking.

there is no explanation concerning sound set-up or graphic set up.

no realisim vs easy settings explanation and there in game diffrences. I'm just having to learn as best I can on what means what as I go. ie. in the TDC I'm still clueless as to what the diffent color coded lines represent.

ya just figured that out as well stuff like engines quit or degrade or when your manning the deck guns putting rested crew and officers instead of sailors on it makes it reload alot faster. Very neat elements adds more to the game with each portion of the boat operation defiantly depending on the staffing there just should be a part of the game to automatically rotate tired units out of their position when a crew in quarters has hit max rest. If such a feature was added it would need to also take into account the rank and spec of that crew men can see not wanting to drop a pety officer with say torpedo spec out for a sailor.

Also when you have like 8guys all tired in an area like bow torpedo the task of dragging them all out is a bother. To combat this I pretty much keep the torpedo rooms empty till Im ready to use them so I don’t goto use them just to find them tired. I just started doing this not sure if Ill hang with it or just address rest problems when they become severe, the over head of having to staff the torpedoes on every contact may become too much to mess with. Some reassigned crew layouts would solve this. say like surgace stations/ submerged stations/cruis stations then make manual adjsutments to the layout as you see fit. That would elminate some of the cumbersome aspects babysiting your crew brings.

tatton its means they need to rest it seems to ocur when endurence drops below 50%. Once this happens their preformance degrades at that bar showing hte effectiveness that the compartment is preforming at goes down meaning stuff like reloading max speed of ship range to spot cotnacts etc drops. To rest the crew you must manualy drag them to cabin compartments the boat I have at the moment has two cabin compartments.
