The size of my targetting recticule changes from one game to another. I haven't measured but some games it'll be a bit smaller than say, a dime, which to me is quite large. Then the next game it will be the size of the eraser on the top on a pencil. Hope you can get the idea of the size from those comparisons.

This is happening while standing still, not while running or anything.

Anyway, I have no idea why it changes. Maybe becuase of rank differences? I thought maybe it changes according to map but I have had it change from one session to another on the same map. I'm using the same template every map, not even changing scope or anything.

This is strictly in multiplayer.Anyone else notice this?

well if it changes when your not moving at all, then you have a problem but your reticule gets pretty small for some guns and gets bigger when you move

It's a glitch. The reticle is supposed to change slightly during gameplay [when you zoom in w/reddot, it gets larger]. But sometimes the reticle is shown as a tiny pinpoint, as you said. I find it very annoying.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

noticed it too but it depends on which stance i was in.

no matter what gun i have....if im covering against a wall crouched leaning out to the left...the reticule is eraser size. to me it seems every position has its own size.

It could be due to the cover system, even the ACOG is larger when in cover mode.

that's the thing that is annoying, the recticule will change size from game to game for no apparent reason at all. i'm not saying it changes size according to situations in one game.(like when crouching, zooming, covering, running, etc)

so when i start a game i don't know what to expect. it makes me a bit upset to know that the people i'm playing against aren't experiencing this. i definitely find it to be a disasdvantage. when it's smaller i have a harder time killing people at distance. for instance, on streets, i'm usually able to take people down that are running to try to get to the buildings along the sides of the map. when the recticule is at it's smaller size this becomes really difficult

could it be that it changes due to the trueskill ranks of others in the room? although, i do remeber this also happening in player matches.

is this something thats implemented into the game or a glitch? is it some kind of a handicap to even things out?

The difference is between co-op and adversarial. In co-op the reticule is about 2/3's smaller than in versus mode. Why? It's just to even out the game play between players. Since in co-op you are only against the AI, you can afford to make things a little more accurate, as u are mostly outnumbered. The armor and graphics properties also change between co-op and versus modes. It's all done to maintain gameplay. It's minor, but effective and keeps things fair. Those might be the differences u are encountering.

yeah, i have noticed the difference between adversarial and co-op/single player. however, the experiences i'm talking about are strictly multiplayer.

this is from round to round. for instance, i'll play a ranked game on streets and the recticule, on my tv, will be about the size of a dime. i will hop back into the same server and from the second the round starts the recticule will be exteremly small. as i said about the size of an eraser on a pencil. this is without moving crounching or doing anything.
