ubisoft has just released pop classic (or what looks to be pop classic) for iOS:

    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/princ...464308294?mt=8

apparently, pop classic will work on any platform except for pc.

I am confused. There seems to be an iTunes player for the PC.
Can you pay 99 cents to download the POP Classic for iTunes and somehow play it on the PC?

I do not need to do so as I bought the original game in 1990 for PC and still replay it about once a year (with just a keyboard and mouse.)
I would probably enjoy the entire original 1989 POP1 game enhanced by Ubisoft for 3 dimensional play with updated backgrounds and better battle skills.

Aww Ubi come on: the original 1989 PoP is not sold on Steam or GoG, give us the PC version of PoP Classic already. There's money to be earned here, dear Ubisoft.

the 1989/1990 version of pop is considered to be abandonware (at least until someone makes it available for purchase). i think most people like to see pop classic on pc because of the updated graphics and the fluid new gameplay.

Yes I have it already on some old CD I got when it was re-released before PoP3D. What I wanted to say with that post was the fact that you can't buy the original PC version anymore from the publisher (which is now Ubisfoft even for the old games I guess) so they have no income from PoP 1. By releasing PoP Classic for the PC they could make money from the original game again.

And of course we'd play this remake, the graphics are great and the new gameplay tweaks are real nice.

Anyway this is really ridiculous now, come on Ubi, I'd even pay on Kickstarter if some of your developers wanted to fund the PC port from there.
