Thread: Operation Failed? R6 Vegas | Forums

  1. #1
This is for R6 Vegas PC Retail DVD version

I am not sure if anyone else is getting this. I have searched this forum and a ton of others, but nothing comes up.

When I attempt to login to ubi.com, it gives me an "Operation Failed" error. Now I see that the game is actually accessing the internet but I guess it cannot log in properly. Now I have all the ports open and my firmware is up to date. I have turned off all firewalls and allowed my IP as a DMZ on my network. This is not working and was thinking maybe someone here could help me out. If there is any other information you may need just let me know.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well I found out that if I connect through the modem I have no problems connecting to the MP and I do not get this error.

I have fixed the problem with the operation failed by forwarding the ports, however I get another error, "The operation has been cancelled because it took too much time. Please try again."

I have tried almost everything. I have updated my firmware on my router to the most current. My router is a D-Link DI-624 and it blocks only 2 of the games I have and doesnt block any other.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I have a Dlink DI-524 which is very similar to the 624. What I found out from fiddling with some things is that I get that "The Operation has been cancelled..." message ONLY and I mean ONLY when I am set up as a DMZ. If I disable DMZ, I can get into games no problem.

Try flipping that off and see if that lets you in. I still crash, but at least I can get into a server and play some before it happens.

sorry for being a noob here... but what ports have to be forwarded? i tried forwarding this on my mcafee firewall:
    (incoming) tcp/ip: 3047
    (outgoing) tcp/ip: 80
    (incoming) UDP : 3147
    (Outgoing) UDP : 3047

Is this correct..? if so this isnt helping me of login-in.... btw i could play this game be4 and then i reinstalld after crashes when openening MP... and then after the reinstall i couldn't log in if anyone could help me i would be very gracefull

    TCP 80
    TCP 3074
    UDP 3074-3174

You got the 74 reversed. :P

Not sure how well it will work with McAfee firewall though. People have reported having to shut down Norton's firewall, open ports or no, McAfee might be in the same boat.

    Hi!

I have the exact same problem!
I can't connect since Friday. It is very frustrating. I really hope that the Ubi.com team is monitoring their own forums!
Please fiz the problem soon! I've tried all possible and published solutions at home and nothing works.

At least we deserve an answer from UBI.COM. What is going on? Will we ever be able to connect again? has a new patch been released?
Ok, I hope they could maintain the servers up.

    Save the players!

I've got the same issue as well. I've been able to play online in the past but when I built my new pc I haven't been able to play online since. I don't use a router (only a modem) and I don't have any anti-virus / firewall software on (including the crappy windows rubbish) I am a total n00b when it comes to ports and such and I was wondering if any of you guys could offer your insight.
