Be advised that you have to apply compatibility mode to SETUP.EXE. I.e. You run the installation in Windows XP compat.mode.
    Not the game!!

When that is done you get a nocd patch from here:

    http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com...-DVD/Fixed%20EXE%201

And replace the executable, you don't have to run the eib.exe in compat mode!!

I used the download that Michiel69 posted a link to. I have Windows 7 64 bit. Brand new rig I built from scratch 1 weeks ago. Installed the game with XP sp2 mode, via setup.exe.
Switched the file in the system folder.

No problems so far. Thanks to everyone who posted.

btw, sf remove and sf update does nothing.

Not to be a total asshat here But may I remind you all the downloading the no-cd patch is only legal if you actually OWN the game.

I know this is an old thread, but just in case someone is still wanting to play EiB on their Windows 7 64 bit system, this is how I got it to work. My version of EiB is 1.0 on 4 CDs as opposed to the DVD, but this should still work if you have the DVD copy.

Run the setup.exe from the disc by right-clicking on it and choosing the Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP2 and check the 'Run as Administrator' option. After the game installs, delete the desktop icon. Rename or delete the EiB.exe file in the System folder where you installed the game. Then copy the BIA.EXE file from the System folder on your Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30 to the EiB System folder (I'm assuming you have the original since you're trying to play the sequel, but if not you can try one of the No CD/DVD patches as mentioned previously in this thread.) You can then create a desktop shortcut to the BIA.EXE and change the name & icon if you wish. You should then be able to run EiB without any issues.

BTW, I was able to install and run both the original BIA and HH on my Windows 7 64 bit system simply by right-clicking the setup.exe on the DVD and choosing 'Run as administrator' . I have found a lot of older games do not install or run correctly unless you use the 'Run as administrator' option, even if the account you are logged in with has admin rights.

    Good luck!
