Thread: SC:DA demo on Vista? | Forums

  1. #1
I'm trying to run the SCA SP demo on my Vista laptop. First, I got a Visual Basic runtime error, but that was caused by lack of DX9 dlls. So, I re-installed with DX9c, but now, when I try to load the game, it works fine in the menu. When I try to start a new game, it loads, but when the loading is done, it seems like the game just flickers between going back to the loading screen and to some graphics from the game... And after a while it stands still at the loading screen again, but the sound of the game plays in the background (it sounds like I end up dying >.&gt

How can I fix this? :>

It's not worth the effort even if it can be fixed.

    UBI can blow me.

Don't bother. The game is an unplayable POS due to the HUGE number of bugs. It's not worth it, give up.

Strange, this game works fine on my Vista PC. The only problem I had was I had to change my screen resolution to 1024x768 to finish the last mission. Anyway even though the game kind of sucks(problems not story) it's not Ubi's fault. It's Ubi shanghi's fault.

I have no problems running the full game on Vista.

I haven't tried the demo, but I'm assuming it should work.

I'm betting this guy doesn't have a good enough video card.
