Thread: Air Racing map questions. | Forums

    Hi again mission builders,

I have a couple questions regarding a style of map that I am building:

How can I reward the player for completing the course (flying by the pylons)? I tried to place a hidden Recon objective, but every time I refly, I get the message "Blue Won!" and no points.

Is it possible to limit the available fuel load-outs in an online dogfight? I would like to set this up so that the various aircraft will carry approximately the same weight of fuel. (It would also be useful for other scenarios)

    Thanks

Q1. You can't. IL-2's point system is based primarily on destruction for the most part. You can get points for landing inside the 'Recon' circle if the 'Landing" box is ticked.

Q2. No. Fuel loadout in DF's is set by each individual player. In my time as a member of il2airracing the brief's always suggested no more than 25% fuel. Those that followed that advice usually had a good chance of winning/keeping up. Those who didn't fell behind. Fuel weight is modeled though so a reminder in the briefing screen should suffice. If not experience will.

    Hope this helped.
A positive at***ude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Does dogfight mode overide the "No user loadout" feature?

No. You can still set 'No User Loadout' and 'Static Time' in the FMB by going to Configure > Conditions > Misc.

When you enter a dogfight server are you still restricted by that setting though?
If it still restricts the user loadout is fuel one of them it restricts? If it is that should accomplish what Romanator21 wants with restricting the fuel loadouts to a specific amount for all the players.
