Any squads out there that still operate the majority of missions from carriers? Looking for a true Naval or Marine squad. I have a 3 years experiance with the sim.

    Sad, no responses...
Is it there are no squads like that left or is it I just don't cut the grade

I had to leave my last squad because my schedule conflicted with the co-op times.

Maybe it's time for some off-line pacific missions until ClOD gets going...

I would suggest that you check out our squad as this is exactly what we do. We are Airgroup51 and have been around for a number of years. We fly IL2 version 4.10 with mods and fly Tues, Thur, and Sat. Thursday evening we are typically involved in and SEOW campaign against another squad. Tuesdays we fly a variety of missions. Saturday nights we train on a variety of tasks. We fly full switch with only Speedbar enabled. We ARE a USN Carrier based squadron and have both a VF and a VT Squadron. We are getting ready for our next upcoming campaign with will be a 1943 Carrier vs Carrier scenario against our rival squad. We also fly Korea era Jet Ops on occasion flying FJ's and F9F's off carriers. We are currently recruiting both Fighter Jocks and Attack Pilots.

We are currently constructing a new website but have our forums running strong. We are in the planning stage of setting up a Dogfight server on Hyperlobby and have a dedicated Teamspeak server. We have about 15 active members at the moment.

    Please check us out at:

We would love to have you try us out.

    Blue skies....

Hey bkdamon, did you ever find a squad flying carrier ops? Seems some of the "naval" squads are leaving the carriers & going to land based ops flying airforce a/c. Sad

Squads that strictly run carrier ops are near non existent. If you can find enough like-minded souls this may be your calling to get your own squad going.

USN has a nice mix, we used to fly the PTO and switched between land and carrier ops as well as European just for fun once a week. Not sure what they do now. Things changed a lot after NAWS passed away.

I think there's a newer Black Sheep squad that may be into carrier ops:

Maybe they have what you're looking for. Happy hunting!!
