Guys, is it out of the question to asked for the Lean feature in the game? Will it be alot of work for the developers to add this feature? Can some asked these developer about it? I don't know anything about game development but I would like to see this feature in the game.

don't you think the 'Find' buttom would help you a lot and stop making you useless threads? This questions has been ask several times.

But i'm in a good mood and just will answer you question:

There will be no lean feauter in the game (xbox360,ps3,pc). They won't make it.
Why? They say you won't need it (if i'm not wrong).

...as opposed to saying it had something to do with controller restrictions *goes off to stir hornets nest*

There is no lean, and there is no prone.
Why? Because the game's firefights are fast paced, by the time you get behind cover and begin to lean, the AI would've already flanked you.
Same with prone, there's no prone because of the same deal.
It's tactical, and fast-paced action as well. Check out the videos, does it look like he needs to lean?

Im struggling with the concept of it being "tactical" without the time or need for the use of prone and lean...

You are judging the need to lean based on one style of play. The beauty of the original title was that it supported all types of play. So far I have not seen anything other than "run and gun" and distraction marquerading as stealth.

I certainly hope there is more depth to the gameplay that has been demonstrated so far...

Perhaps this is why UBI keeps giving us these sort of games? Most people confuse "Tactical" with distractions or diversions to infiltrate a zone, making it ok to run-and-gun your way in or out for the most part.

Just because the Devs said you won't need them it doesn't make it true. Perhaps controller restrictions or more codeing/programming time needed to make this work is the answer?

probably had to do with hit boxes or what not... maybe the lean was just forgotten and by the time they got around to implementing it they were too far into the programing? There is absolutely no way that "lean" and "prone" weren't tested at some point. I mean what are the Odds that those positions aren't in the game somehow just not as a finished asset?

I've read all the comment on the Lean feature. My personal opinion is that there isn't much of a MP side to this game. Here me out, if the developer claim that there isn't much need for prone/lean in the game. This could only mean one thing "The are only catering for the SP side of the game and how their AI works". In MP mode, everyone plays a different game style. We as online gamers have a mind of our own, I think we're smarter than any AI and will make wiser choices. Lean/Prone is a good tactical feature to have in games where everyone thinks different and plays differently. Did the developer ever hear of the term "look before you leap". I'm so looking forward to this game to play online but I think it will be a big disappointment. Why aren't they bragging or advertising the MP side of the game? Could it be that they don't have much to show? I guess we have to wait and see, then ***** later. Just a personal note, don't get your hopes up if you're looking forward to play the MP side of this game.

    This is a given.

One thing you will notice in UBI produced games (as opposed to UBI published games that are created by other companies) is that they do them like Movie producers instead of Game producers. They don't do what the fans want or consult these forums. They take some "vision" of the guy in charge and make it a reality.

It looks like they put everything into the SP map editor and AI of Farcry2 and want you to run N gun your way through it.

Frankly, they don't care if the multiplayer falls flat on its face because they want you to finish the game, put it away, and buy another over hyped production with no substance.

Max Beland is one of the UBI Producers that claimed he wanted one of his games to be like "24" and then on the sequel to that game he stated in an interview that he wanted it to be like "CSI".

Personally I think UBI needs to get out of the game business and do what they really want to do which is tv shows and movies.
