Psst! Post your awesome stories or quests from Oblivion here. This radiant AI thing is awesome. All this completely random stuff keeps happening as I'm standing there... stuff that has nothing to do with me, but makes the world seem totally alive.

I stole some food from a beggers "food bad". Fast foward a few hours and I find the begger running from a guard as the guard shouts "Get back here you beast!" and they ran out of the area. Not exciting but it was just neat to see how the AI responded to the whole cause and effect.

Well, my first wow moment was when I just followed a beggar around. She just went around, talking with people, looking at walls (honestly), and begging for coins. I also thought it was cool that I went into someone's house and they were taking a nap, in the middle of the day.

I have something funny to share. One time, as I was walking along in the Imperial City, four people met in two places (for two 1 on 1 conversations) in the middle of the street. One of the men in set 1 greeted the person he had met. There followed a great silence. I was amazed...the silence lasted over 15 seconds. Nobody moved, or spoke. Then, all at once, all four people began spouting off random information, and all quickly departed. It was hilarious. It's too bad there are glitches, but some can be expected. Radiant AI is amazing, nonetheless.

Although I love this game so far and there are many, many awesome things about it, "Radiant AI" really isn't one of them. I've heard the same conversations dozens of times. Shopkeepers will still treat me politely even after catching me stealing things right in front of their faces. Other people will scream at me to get out of their house after they've just called me a hero for completing a quest for them. Guards in a faraway town somehow know I have a stolen spoon in my backpack. Hell, some guards even walk unfazed past the corpses of their comrades I've left in my wake. Gothic II and even GTA did this sort of thing better.

Nevertheless, Oblivion is still fantastic. It just needs a patch or three.

I bribed the hell out of one of the "I cant remember their name but they make wine in one of the cities" brothers to get info on a quest then later that day, the two of them were attacking a thief so I decided to sneak attack the other brother. Instead of attacking me, the one I bribed killed his own brother to protect me...

PS. The names of the characters and cities has been omitted to avoid spoiler of side quest.

PPS : I hope what i just wrote make some sense...

The most amusing things I've noticed have had nothing to do with me.

I was riding north of Bruma one night in pursuit of a guy when I saw a city watchman firing on someone with a bow and arrow up ahead. I ran up there, concerned that he'd found my guy before I had, then I stopped in my tracks. He and another watchman were firing at each other in the middle of the night, for no reason I could comprehend. I stood there and watched as they took turns shooting at each other until one died. The other then walked off, apparently continuing his rounds, and even greeted me politely.

During another day in the same area, just outside the city gates, I was riding off and heard someone shout about a pickpocket. I turned around and saw a guardcome running. The accused fellow opened the gates through the corral and took off into the distance with the guard in hot pursuit.

I wonder, if I left the game long enough, would everyone kill each other?

Haha...Probably. Not all of these people are very civilized.

Another thing from me, I completed a quest, killing a person who was killing merchants (for the Mage Guild) and the people that had given me the quest helped me kill her, along with a guard that happened to be walking by. After we killed the merchant killer, the guard killed the two people that helped me do the quest!! When I went to turn the quest in, the lady at the Mages Guild wasn't too happy, since they had both died. rofl for stupid guards, eh Jinx?

In Anvil, I tried countless times to retrieve a woman's crystal ball from the hold of her ship. The nasty ghost things that resided within were giving me one heck of a time. That is, until I gave up and ran away. On my way off the boat, I realized these things were following. Lucky for me, the lady who hired me in the first place was apparently one heck of a battle mage, and she and the city guards did my job for me. Let me tell you, that enchanted weapon I got for completing the quest will be one of my proudest achievements in the game

funniest thing I've encountered so far was in the gladiator arena. near the end where you have to take on the archer, the mage and the fighter. this is the one where porkchop gets sent in to help you.

Well, It sucks to be on the yellow team in that one cause porkchop is nasty, I let him do all the work and just kept blocking while he killed everyone.
