    Play PF.
In the full mission builder some of the skins I select will not appear in missions I create or modify.
    Any suggestions or remedys?
My personal favorite is the P-40 with the sharkmouth motif.

    Thanks.

If you are flying the plane, you can still pick your skin via arming selection just like in single player campaign. If the AI is flying it, pick the skin in mission builder. If it is static plane, only default works. Just to check, all skins are 1mb and most are 1024 x 1024. If it is a skin you made, make sure it is index color not RGB, the right file size, and in the right folder.

Are they appearing correctly in the FMB?

    Also,
The game wil keep track in the config.ini file of the last skin, noseart and loadout you seleced for each plane (if you did not accept the defaults for the last mission). If you select a skin for the 'player' plane in FMB, but there is an entry in the config file for that same plane, the config file takes precedence, at least for the skin.

Did you checked the mis file in a txt editor?
You should see something like this at each flights section:
    ...
    Skill 2
    skin0 *.bmp
    skin1 *.bmp
    skin2 *.bmp
    skin3 *.bmp
    Class air.*
    Fuel 100
    ...
