Extra mission for the German campaign: 4-2-reichstag GR

* The Russians might attack the Brandenburg Gates very soon.
There are rumours of an unstoppable Russian division with new IS2-122mm tanks.
These battalions reached already the parks and residential blocks and are approaching
the center of Berlin. Russian assault groups have been formed and have
entrenched the remains of our fifth army. We got the order to defend the Reichstag at all costs.
The last combat is the hardest one, they say. Block after block,
house after house we're defending the center of Berlin and the Reichstag.

* Your mission: Destroy all invading enemy forces including 8 IS-2's.

* Original mission with normal fuel/ammo resources!

Install: Extract the zip-file in your "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Faces of War\"� folder!

ONLY FOR USE ON "4-2-reichstag GR" version!

Make an entry in your "game_progress.set" (enable the mission) for the extra heroes path mission:
In your "game_progress.set" file insert the following lines at the end!

PS. You need to have the other German missions enabled too.
Only 2 "heroes path" mission slots are open (LOUVAIN and another one)
Remove map folder "4-1-falaise GR" first because FOW has only 2 extra open card-slots in the menu!

Exit command and Tactics mode (exit error) does not work properly (USE ARCADE MODE).

These IS-2’s with their 122mm gun are not so easy (with 1 shot they blow up your tiger! )

Their IS-2 never stood any chance against our glorious Tigers!!
(Well;..until later that day...)
Direct control saved the day..

(I'd like this mission even harder;..more waves and repair kits
on each of my tanks as well as on the enemies.
So everyone can repair, if chaos permits..
Should be an interesting rage forth and back.
If you got the time, please modify for hardcore defend)

It is not disabled! In the screenshot you are looking at the German army which is the player “1â€Â�
Camera shot was taken from a snipers position very close at an IS-2 tank.

BTW, I did a little update of the map today (removed a lot of German infantry and included ISU-152 because the map was too easy) I do still have some issues with making the hardcore version.

UPDATE 8/10/2006: Current version was replaced by previous version without ISU 152 (because of stability problems)

I am trying to fix the Tactics mode bug too (anyway a bonus mission is always level “hardâ€Â�)

tnx but i dont get this to work. first of all there is no folder named 4-1 Falaise, the only falaise map is called 1-2 and i deleted it but no bonus mission appear. i have done all other things according to yor instructions.

You will only have an folder named '4-1 Falaise', if you have previously installed TucsonSonnys former
map (Falaise GR) which he has modified to fight for the german side! If you did not play that map, you cant have the folder...

You deleted the folder '1-2-falaise' ? This should not be there, except you decompressed 'map.pak' ?

Now, what you do to get it to work. I would recommend to extract the archive 'reichstag_mission_gr.zip'
into an empty folder. Then, manually copy the *contents* of the included 'resource' folder into the 'resource' folder of the game. Then, copy and past the part TucsonSonny mentioned into (end of file of) your own "game_progress.set" file, which is located in your profile folder. This should enable the mission and be avaiable in the german 'picture' section ingame, where you choose your missions; as last picture.

If this picture "Reichstag GR" does not show up, 2 things are possible: You did not copy/extract the
*contents* of the resource folder into the corresponding one of the game, or you maybe got something like:
“C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Faces of War\resource\resource\" S.h.i.t. happens.

Second, if you did insert the lines into the "game_progress.set" file, maybe not *all* german missions
are marked {passed} and {completed} to 'unlock' the map!
In this case, to just make this easy, download the fully unlocked "game_progress.set" file, provided by Nille78 from right here: (backup your own!)

If you rather want to unlock everything yourself, you got to do all missions yourself, including every
training mission.
If you dont want *that* hassle, you can also poke around in the "game_progress.set" file, find everything
'training' and set them all (9) to {passed} and {completed}

Shiat, this got long again, but its not difficult. I just tried to cover everything, that makes it fail for you. Sorry. I hope, you get it going?

well i know i put the right stuff into the resource folder and below is a link to a screenshot of the game_progress file (its the 100% complete file).

and i will try to finish the campaign cos' im at the last germam mission but i dont like that mission so ill have another profile for this game-progress
