They are like paintings.
Altair fought for Peace ~ Ezio fought for the Truth ~ Connor fought for Justice ~ Aveline fought for Liberation ~ Nikolai fought for Family
TheShark~ The Spider ~ The Heron
The Assassins and The Warrior
But when you buy them, ther's a symbol next to the price. That says -15(something). What does that mean?Originally posted by Jexx21:

I'm pretty sure that signifies a discount.
that's a discount or a tax.

There is some hidden books in the city. You can locate them with the book icon on the map (the can be mistaken for the library icon !)
Don't what they unlock though...
I believe as someone said the books are like paintings. As shown in the first zwoooooosh gameplay there is a library where I asume goes the books. To the what is the assassin symbol and -15% don't quote me but I believe that means that since you control that area it is 15% off and I also believe that when the templars controll the area it is significantly higher price. Don't ask how much as that particular well of Assassin's Creed obsession has dried up.
Purshasable books are like paintings in AC 2 and AC:B. The -15% is a discount as you control the area.
There are other books relatead to the story and you have to find them. Those books lead you to Massyaf's keys.
