1946 Re-install question | Forums

Due to some minor but annoying issues following a HD replacement and "ghosting" ( some skins corrupted and some single missions won't load ) I need to do a re-install.

Will an uninstall be required first, or can I just install the game on top of the present installation? What stays, and what gets overwritten? The reason I ask is that I'm wondering if I can avoid having to re-patch to 4.08 and re-install all my add-on skins...as well as re-do the config settings.

Uninstall may be required, as the install routine won't probably allow a new installation...

Copy the current game folder to a backup folder.

Then uninstall, re-install, then copy anything you want/need from the backup over to the new install.

- Skins
- Missions
- conf.ini
- Users...
