    I just hope there is a decent amount of weapons..i hate games where your forced to use the same weapon for ages..

    I don't know how many guns were in fc2, but I would hope that fc3 has at least 30 guns. I hate to see good games be ruined because they only have like 8 weapons to choose from. Variety is key in strong multiplayers so no one plays exactly alike and there are plenty of different play styles to create a more exciting and challenging experience.

    I am not worried about the number of firearms. I am more worried about craftable weapons like spears and blowdarts. Also different shotgun loads would be exciting.

    Great suggestion - a selection of Shotgun ammo *types.

    I am hoping for lasers and fire modes...


    P.S. I am playing FC1 PC at the moment. Highly recommended! Awesome game. One can tell it has the pedigree that FC3 is attaining to. Strangely a bit like going backwards into the future..

    Do you even realize that good assault rifle can fire a thousands of rounds before stoppages start? I would hate to see another "1000-2000 rounds before total failure rifle". Here is a quote for HK416 wiki page:

    The XM8 scored the best, with only 127 stoppages in 60,000 total rounds, the FN SCAR Light had 226 stoppages, while the HK416 had 233 stoppages. The M4 carbine scored "significantly worse" than the rest of the field with 882 stoppages.[
    Now what are the odds, that you are gonna fire that many rounds? Because stoppage after every 3rd mag will ruin the game :P

    apparently there are over 30 weapons in the game I atleast hope for another 10 to be revealed as the DLC are not counted in the 30

    You are quoting the most reliable weapons fired in normal conditions... Other weapons in different environments are much less reliable.

    227 stoppages in 60,000 rounds in ~ 1 stoppage every 250 rounds.

    Weapon manuals state that they should be cleaned regularly (like twice a day!)


    It has been brought to my attention post posting on the subject that, the weapons in FC3 do show signs of visual degradation (excellent), but they do not jam. The 'logical' explanation would be that MILITEC -1 is used in the archipelago..

    I still believe that a weapon cleaning mini-game would be awesome... one would get to bond with their firearms and see the 'gubbings' and weapon in parts (a bit like the GRFS mod function), creating a sense that the weapons have mechanisms inside and that they are not just a hollow fascade.

    Just watched a youtube vid and took a screen of this:



    What weapon is this? It looks a bit like a Vector, but when he aims down the sights you can see what looks like a wire/cable hanging down the side of the weapon, perhaps to power the red dot sight?
