I have completed on PC and all the weapons and upgrades i bought have not carried through to next game? I unlocked so much with the diamonds i have found, and thought in my next play i could buy the rest... I hope im missing something!

Maybe because some gamers like to be rewarded for their hard work and would like to see our weapons/unlocks carry over. I know I would, make it happen Ubisoft!

Are there any games that do this...? I've played many games and everytime I start a NEW game, I do indeed start a NEW game... Would be weird to start off with a load of weapons already: I mean, getting them is part of the game! if you already have them, big parts of the game become useless... I am glad nothing is carried through!

Then when you beat the game go to new game, not load previous game and new game+... then new game + means you keep what u earned, new game means you start from scratch. If you don't like getting what u keep, just do that but don't knock on people who would like their work rewarded.

Mass Effect, Ninja Gaiden, Army Of Two, Force Unleashed, etc etc, all games that let you carry over what you earned after you beat it. You don't have to, you can just go to new game and not continue over, but it's nice that they gave that choice to you.

And I would like that choice

Mainly it addes more replay value and feels nice that you can go back and just have fun playing the game the way you want to... which in big bold letters is printed on the back of my game's case.

But if you don't want that then you don't have to, thats why just adding a new game+ is a win win situation. If people want their stuff to carry over they can, if they don't just go to new game and not new game+ and they don't have to.

I can understand this, but it would make the majority of SP missions pointless. You wouldn't need to do any cell phone missions because you wouldn't need the diamonds, and you wouldn't need to do any of the armory missions. Basically 50% of the SP game would be pointless.
However it also reminds us how shallow the gaming experiance really is in far cry 2, because were only doing the missions for the diamonds to buy more weapons.

Mass Effect caried the weapons and armour over because you could only reach around level 53 on your first attempt. You had to play the game a second time to reach level 60. It was more fun the second time arond though.

You mean like Ratcher & Clank (ps2 versions anyway, dont know about the new one)? That would be great.

No gonna happen. To get Ubisoft to listen you need 10 different forums/blogs with 1000 posts complaining about the same thing.

As I said before, that's why there's an "option" for a new game+ that way the people that want it can have it, and the people that don't want it don't need to.
