    The game exits silently. The little place-holder window pops up with the farcry symbol and the characters, cd drive spins up, window goes away, nothing else happens. Help!

    I had the same problem and before I was able to resolve it I went to AMD.com and downloaded their free 64bit version of Far Cry. Man if you have a 64bit rig you gotta try the 64bit far cry! Do the download and make a desktop shortcut, put in the cd, when the 32 bit window comes on exit, then double click the 64bit icon on your desktop. If the 32bit window dosen't come up double click the amd 64 icon. Hope this works for you. If this fails try e-mailing microsoft or crytek for help.
