Thread: slow transition between screens | Forums

  1. #1
Hey all -- any suggestions would be appreciated.

My only problem is that takes several minutes to move from screen to screen in the game. Otherwise the game runs fine. Once the screen changes, there are no lag or gameplay issues. Nut waiting a few minutes to move from screen to screen gets tedious each time I move :O.

    Any suggestions?

    My specs:
    Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
    512 MB RAM
    ATI Radeon Pro 9800
    Windows XP Home Edition

Oh...and does anyone know how to check how much available disk space I have on my hard drive?

    Thanks

    Answer to first question:

Try a defragmentation, Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter
Defragment your entire drive where you installed Myst 4. That should help a ton. If not, try getting more RAM, and/or unloading running programs (called TSRs-- they run in the tray next to the clock in the lower right)

    Answer to second question:

    Start > My Computer
That will bring up a list of your drives. Right click one, click properties. That will bring you to a place where you can see free disk space.

    Hope that helps! =)
