Thread: CD-Key in use and no help from Support | Forums

    I just bought this game last week, brand new off the shelf from a game store. To my supprise and frustration when I attempt to register the game it tells me that the cd key is in use, and after spending $80 do i want to buy a key online. So I log a question with support straight await, attaching photos of the receipt and everything in the box. I was pleased that they say that they will respond by the next business day.... one week later .. nothing, not even a message to tell me they are swamped and they'll get to me later... just "unresolved"... so I'm posting here to try and get somones attention to fix this.. so i gotta say ... I will not buy a game from UBIsort with a DRM again.

    This is actually an issue only our support team can help you with. So you should call/mail them again.

    Where is you location ? Maybe I could send an additional email to the respective support Team.. but no promises.

    thank I appreciate the reply, I'm in australia, but i dont think i'm willing to spend another $2.48/minute calling ur tech help and there isnt an email addr listed for support in the manual.. they just direct u to the support page to loge a "question". I'll admit that really not happy with this situation.

    I have the same problem here! Help!

    The key is not working! It should have tied to my account but it isn't. I am from Malaysia.

    Only support can help you with this. However out of interest: Was the box sealed when you bought it? There were some cases with customers who bought boxes that were opened before already - thus "their" key was also bound to another account already.

    This problem can also happen if you buy your cd key from an online store selling settlers cdkeys. they work and are valid before patch 1.05. my brother bought one from such a site and went back to them with his problem and they issued him a new key wich fixed the problem. hope this helps some of you..

    support trying to pass the blame for a flawed protection to other people tipical take the spoils and run then act like a true jew boy and blame others just help to sort this problem please we have been honest and bought the title with real cash and not pirated it some good faith on your part and no mumbo jumbo crap
