I am new to this franchise so please bear with me.
When I start the game, even in tutorial mode, my fellow soldiers are asking for information. I can't figure out how to respond. They call my name, now what?

When I start the game, even in tutorial mode, my fellow soldiers are asking for information. I can't figure out how to respond. They call my name, now what?

Just ignore them.
You can only 'respond' by giving them orders (move, cover, go recon, go assault, stop etc.)
They do that if you haven't given them orders for a while. Or when you're standing in one place without moving.
