I have just fixed the same issue.

Ensure that your PSU can supply enough power to your graphics card (check the card specifications to find out what it needs).

Also, make sure you have enough cooling. If your card overheats, it will send the monitor to standby mode.

Your solution will be either of them. Try playing with the side panel off the tower and if it works, you know you have a cooling problem and need to install fans.

This is not an issue with the game.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Could be the psu. Card needs min 400w psu and ive got 420w. Could be borderline!

Try turning off the High Detail Shader option, that fixed it for me,I've replayed a couple of times the Shanghai mission without this error.

    It could be.

Check what amount of Amps the card needs via the 12 Volt rail. Mine recommended 30 Amps and I only had a 20 Amp 12 Volt rail on my PSU.

So I went out to buy a 700 Watt PSU that has 5 12 Volt rails - all of which supply 18 Amps. More than enough!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

It's another glitch that this game has with High detail shader on. I meet OVER the power requirments for my rig, and I get this standby monitor crash every once and a while, too.

    RIG:
    7800GTX
    3500+
    1gig hyper-x memory<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Proud to say that I am the first to ever compile a custom sound package and mesh with animation package, into Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory???s editor.

We want a DA map editor release

Same here - Shanghai missing putting monitor to standby.

I think it's an issue with the game and not our PSUs or cards.

    Check your card temperatures.

I found ive got cooling issues. Idle at 50 degrees and then runs into 80 odd during game, which makes the card cut out.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
