Umm sorry to say this dude, but Godsmack isn't metal
Godsmack=hard rock
Borknagar,Slayer,Gorgoroth,Opeth,Meshuggah,etc=met al
Haha, don't get me started
Burzum, Dimmu Borgir, Soilwork, Cradle of Filth, Goat*****, Cattle Decapatation, Cannibal Corpse, Arch Enemy, Killswitch Engage, Spineshank, Behemoth, Abigor, Sinister, Devil Driver, Hatebreed, Mayhem, Satyricon, Six Feet Under, Eroticide (local, very good), Morbid Angel, In Flames, Amon Amarth, Napalm Death, Dismember, Dry Kill Logic, Ministry, Rammstein, Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, oh you get the point =P
I was simply referring to a more well known band to spark the insight.

dude I've raised my right arm across and over to above my left shoulder whilst my palm facing up
for a moment there I could've backhanded youfor placing Hatebreed, Spineshank, Killswitch Engage and Ministry within that list because
Hatebreed=hardcore w/ a splash of wannabe metal
spineshank= hard rock...a cross between finger eleven and orgy has sex w/ static-X
Killswitch Engage=emo wannabe metal
Ministry=hard industrial
Rammstein=hard industrial
and a few of those on that list are metal bands whose members all have short hair and that spells
a few college dorks w/ no identity (that also look just like emo kids from the OC) thought it would be cool to one- up the emo community and try their hand at wannabe metal.The sad part is that the members in these mod/emo/metal band is that they have to exert themselves in order to play heavy, whereas real metal bands don't even have to try.
and wtf is with this.......
"Dolls!
Let the Metal Commense!"
do you think the dolls won't laugh at that dude? come now![]()
Mudvayne. I don't know any other metal, but I listen it whenever it's on. I don't wanna look like a poser or metal n00b to you guys, so I'll just say "The music I like, I listen to"
Oh man, Killswitch emo wannabe metal?
This sir is enough for me to never read another one of your posts.
As for the statement at the end, it was suppose to be comedy, guess that flew over your head too.
As I like to tell Blizzard on a regular basis: GG
Oh and Mudvayne is pretty smooth, I liked how they kind of dipped into two different styles with their 1rst being pretty heavy and their 2nd CD more mellow. Shows they are not limited to one thing. Energy is what I love most.
Now that the little boys have said their pop bands...
Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Pantera, Slayer, Sepultura, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Saxon, anything from TNWOBHM.
My favorite band is Sepultura (early w/Max). I also like Slayer, (early) Metallica, Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Fear Factory!!, Eleven Seeds, Death, Skinlab, Opeth, Pantera, Dying Fetus, Fleshgrind, Hate Eternal, Six Feet Under, In Flames, Suffocation... oh hell, I could go on.
Bands like Slipknot, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Deftones (which I actually like), Mudvayne, Non Point, etc are labeled as "metal". I don't understand it. But, I suppose this generation has never been exposed to bands like that of my above entry. *shrugs*
Oh well. I don't hate on 'em anyways.
XBL Gamertag: Sepul Chaos
Most metal is garbage. Any idoit can scream and make noise. The trick is, to make it sound good... which most metal groups never seem to accomplish.

Ah I love it when people say this. Then I tell them to start screaming and see if they can last a whole minute without losing their voice. Doesn't seem so easy now does it? And some bands do it for hours on end. To get technical, its not just screams, but growls as well, and lots of bands including Killswitch Engage, use melodic vocals as well. But with most types of metal, the screaming/growling is to emphasize agressiveness, intensity, energy, which of course coincides with the music. Its a preference obviously.
