Is there a memory with a drop rate of precious stones higher than "digging in"? I have +72% chance of a drop but it is still very rare.

Also, what are the factors that influence skirmish ratios?

There are two places in Italian Wars you can find Precious Stones but I'm not sure which one offers the better chance of dropping them.

The first is in Chapter 2 under Bait and Trap. You're looking for the Where It Hurts memory.

The other is in Chapter 3 under Resourceful. This one is called Digging in.

And, in chance you're wondering about your +72%, I don't think the drop rate works in the way you think it does.

The way it works is that there is a base percentage chance of each item dropping. Your bonus to that chance is an additional percentage of that base percentage. I don't know the exact numbers but if the base chance is 10% and you have a +72% bonus your chance of an item dropping is 17.2%. (72% of 10% is 7.2% plus the original 10%.)

Skirmishing works strangely though. I've lost against people whose Conflict stat was 5 and mine was 150. And I've won against some of the cheaters with Conflict in the thousands.

I know there's a few Mnemonics that affect who you can skirmish against but aside from that I don't have many actual details for you.
