Does any bunny know how to patch Chaos Theory (full & demo ver.s) so it will run on Windows 98 & WIN ME ??
It wont be difficult if you know how...
DOOM3 THIEF3 RID**** were allso sabotarged
with stupid little irrelevent features so they
wouldn't start except on Win XP..
Its a marketing trick not techical issue...

Mouse, there is no way to do that. 98 is dated, u need to have xp in order to play this game, and its gonna be like that for all games that come out in the future.

A collegue of mine is also still running win98 and he did manage to get Doom3 running on his box. I'm not sure how he did it, but it had something to do with hex editing a string in a file.

Not sure if this helps but:

    It says on the disk:
    WINDOWS 2000/XP ONLY.

Yeah. That pretty much speaks for itself.

I'd sugest to upgrade to either Win2000 or Windows XP for not only the gaming aspect but for the stability and security. I say security only because Win98 is no longer being supported by windows. Ie: no more security updates/patches.
That and as someone stated games and most programs run only on win2000/xp.
In the end just stay far away from WinME.
