Hello,
I've been a fan of R6 since the beginning, and lost interest when Lockdown came out. It should be obvious why.
So, my question, is Vegas like the originals or is this just another POS shooter?
Thanks!

Short Answer:
Vegas is a good single player game and fun mulitplayer game if you can find anyone still putting up with all the problems.
Long Answer:
It is a rushed out just before Christmas console port that wasn't optimized for PC (HUGE text takes up most of screen during game).
It needs a Shader 3 video card which only 10-20% of gamers have
It is not complete (horrible server browser, not enough stats, no TRUE dedicated server with admin controls, you can't even tell how many rounds your team has won in a match, you can't password protect a game, etc)
It has a Third Person View that lets you see around corners and over objects without being seen
It has a health regen where if you aren't killed you can heal back up in a few seconds - no gimping like Ravenshield.
Only 7 objective multiplayer maps with 1 objective per map (Ravenshield has 21 maps with all objectives on each map) - This contributes to the games ultra-short MP lifespan
No leaning/peeking (other than in TPV) and you can't go prone
In spite of all that the animations and graphics are good and the game can be fun...too bad they didn't release it with good server support because the multiplayer community has dried up...Compare 600 Ravenshield players to 60 Vegas players during early evening playing.

IMO it only has three differences from Lockdown.
You don't run as fast, there is an actual ammo counter, and there is a peak system.

What is the point of adding sniper rifles when all the combat is close quarters? >_>
The maps are too confined IMO and usually rounds end up with everybody just going through a routine (from what I have seen anyway).I dont have a problem with camping but in most maps you will see a pattern and its usually a large protion of a team running for a corner by a door because the other team's routine is to go through that hallway. Both sides know that they will get into a firefight after openning the particular door. It's sad that a game that hasnt even been out a year already has rounds like this, they are too predictable and it blows.Hardly anyone uses the rest of the map, they just use that one hallway
Not all rounds are fought in hallways but all the maps have their "routines"....Streets has people sitting in windows the whole round, the one I mentioned above is casino vault, Dantes has Bravo sitting in windows waiting for Alpha to walk in (the majority of the rounds I've played on that map Bravo wins because of their defensive position). It's just too repetative IMO.

A special pile of poo that cost 50 bucks.

As in most of my posts, I'll be brief. A. This game had potential to be a great R6 game; UBI fell far short of fulfilling this potential. B. The PC market is an afterthought for UBI at this point any will remain so in the future. This was a console port, and it shows through and through.
