Does anyone know if music from the Splinter Cell games is inspired by other films? I've heard many that have music similar to all of the games, like Hokkaido Stress from Chaos Theory, which sounds like some thing you'd hear in Panic Room or se7en. And Iceland Infiltration from Double Agent, which sounds like one of the Jason Bourne movies?

The Pandora Tomorrow theme certainly sounded like it was 'inspired' by 24's.

I was about to say, the Iceland mission sounds like a downright plagiarism of the Bourne trilogy.

I know about one that wasnt influenced on anything. Im sure you all know which one it is. Penthouse seems to me thats the one song that defines splinter cell but thats me. It works with all games you know.

I think the Hokkaido theme when a soldier gets suspicious is what defines Splinter Cell, but then again that's just because I watched the Alien trailer so much...

Anyway, shouldn't this be in Legacy?

Well lets say both define SC and so does the displace music.

As for this going in the Legacy forum well Id say you are right but that forum is pretty much dead. Im not the one who came up with this topic though.

I'm sure that many of the songs are inspired from famous films. Many of the SC concepts resemble many different movies, so I could almost guarantee that a good number of the soundtrack numbers are inspired, and teh tunes, BASED off of a certain movie.

But MOST of the songs are probably from the minds of the great artists Ubi used to make the games. Without a doubt the main theme to each game... It seems like CT has a dozen main themes though...

the Rock does sound like R6. Plus the music in SC1 kinda sounds like some of Eric Serra's work. (He did the music for GoldenEye and the Professional).
