You obviously patched both games but didn't install the Anne Bonny files.
Vegas 2 won't run on a LOT of sata drives. It's sad, I know, but it's Ubisoft we're talking about.
If this were 2K Games, I would send an email through their IRC dev channel, and get a response within a DAY ALONG with comments from other developers and gamers.

I have 4 SATA DVD drives on 2 systems that won't read the Vegas 2 disk.
But all of my IDE drives will!
If you have an IDE laying around, give it a shot!!
Alternatively, you can check out this site and do a search for a file that will replace yours and make the game work!
