Just had same problem but over a large part of visable cockpit. What are your specs? (especially graficcard type and drivers)

This has happened to me occasionally as well. I'm running a Radeon 9800pro 128mb. Seems to be a random thing.
I got the same prob but it happened only in multiplayer yet

I have the same probs.
Happened to me a couple of times in a row when retrying the first SU-27 mission.
Specs:
Asus P4P800 with P4-2.6HT and 2x 512MB Corsair
Radeon 9700 with Cat. 3.7 and DX9.0b
