    I believe from the start that you and your team worked hard to make this game. I know for sure that ideas in this game will surprise us for a long time. But understand us, from what we know about the game , and we know maybe 1%, the battle system brings more questions than answers and till we have no answers we speculate about what we know. I personally fear that combat system will have no tactic soul. Please give us more information about battle system. We can't wait to the beta, bcs we even don't know when it will start, and some of us don't have serial key (including myself).
    I think sharing with us more information about how battle system work will calm us down.

    Here are my questions:
    How spells will be incorporated into the battle?
    Do units have their special abilities and how them influence the battle?
    How do you prevent people to put their best units at the 6ht and 7th slot (they will try to prevent them from die)?
    What are the subtleties and riches of the battle system?

    I have an idea how to make players more willing to place their high level creatures in the 1,2,3 or 4 slot instead 5,6,7
    Each creature has a level so when you place a 7th level creature in the 1st slot this creature should have a bonus
    I can think of bonus to attack parameter. How big this bonus should be? 7th level-1slot = 6 to attack or defence (relative if you are attacker or defender). If you put 5th level creature on the 3slot you will get only 2 bonus
    This mechanic will encourage ppl to put their high level creatures higher the stack. (it is an idea for combat presented by devs)
    If there will be no bonus to place 7th level unit in the 1st slot I am sure nobody will do that bsc putting it this way means slow death fighting lower level creatures.
    This mechanism will not do the opposite for exaple 1st level creature put on 4th slot won't get -3 bonus

    Can we get a rough estimate of how much longer we're going to have to wait for the Beta to start?

    And, will there be advance notice to those people randomly selected? I mean, it'd be cool if they were announced a bit early, so that if you get picked you have advance warning, rather than having to check in when the Beta starts.

    It seems that NEW info should be published as fast as possible (this is only my small suggestion to devs)

    You seem to be forgetting one thing, this is UBI we're dealing with, any Official information has to be cleared for release, If info gets posted without the "all clear" from above, it runs the risk of being deleted.
    The producer of HoMM V, Fabrice, once posted info before it was cleared, and Acheval, the Community Manager at the time, deleted most of it.

    I know that new info has to be checked before it hits forum but I could easily live without new info if people in this forum (this thread) asked new questions, discussed 'many' of the info the devs has given us
    But now this thread is almost dead - why? because there is nothing left to discuss, so people are less intrigued, less interested what the game will be like - this way is a clear way to make people forget about the game and certainly not interest newcomers. So new info is very important to make people read this forum every single day and keep them interested till beta, release and after that too.
    I just hope that the answers which are prepared will give us a lot to talk to.
    And one last thing

    Hello all,

    Here I am to give you some new answers !

    "What about the player's territory? How many towns do you have? If more then one how it is possible to obtain/found/conquer a new city?"

    As many of you have noticed, letting users to have an unlimited number of cities could be problem when it comes to balancing the game, so we will set a limit around ten. Once you have enough resources and a suitable hero, you will then be able to create a city. But remember about strategy! It may be a mistake to build a new city too early!

    Another way to acquire a city is to conquer the ones from other players. This could take some time and would entail using parts of your army and weapons like the ballista and catapult.

    I saw that some of you fear about over-powerful guilds, we'll also set a limit to the amount of members a guild can recruit in order to keep the game balanced. We also know that people will have the idea of establishing alliances between powerful guilds to get around that rule but we have a solution for that too


    "Can I attack only my neighbours or I can walk through all map and attack far-away leaving players?"

    You can attack any other player on the map BUT it's totally useless to try to conquer a city which is too far away. First, it will take really a long time for your army to reach the enemy. Secondly, you will cross different players' territories and will require regular stop-overs, allowing them to see and attack you. Once again, you will have to think about strategy before taking any decision.


    "Will be adventure buildings in the map like dragon utopia, fishing well, creature dwellings, mines etc?"

    Only some of these buildings are present in HOMM Kingdoms. We also add new buildings like Towers, Fields, Forge and many more which will bring you some support and improvements for your town and your army. Different kinds of mines are available which will bring you resources that you can use to build your city or trade through the marketplace.
