AC 2 Freeze paperboy mission | Forums

Dear guys,

Everytime i play the mission (paperboy) and i enter the fathers house to tell him and his friend that I couldnt give the letter to the person because he is away, the game freezes. Could you please help me out? I just bought the game to play it and after that buy AC Brotherhood. But i'm stuck. Please help!

So your game freezes ONLY at this specific Mission ? What about other parts of the gameplay ?

Do u have Retail copy, or u downloaded this game from Steam ? Maybe first try reinstalling the FULL game again, and see if you still get this freeze or not ??

Try to do a Fresh Install of the whole game again, on some other FOLDER and drive partition. Avoid the common C:\Program files path, and select a NEW folder and do a clean install.

Which OS are u using ? On Win 7, when I started playing this game under, WIN XP SP2 compatibility Mode, most of my problem was solved.

Don't know, maybe u are already aware of this and tried it before, so please accept MY Apologies.

* Just make sure you don't use the ONLINE savegame feature. I have disabled this via the Game launcher. You need to check the GEAR icon on the Ubi Game Launcher, and it should ask you to disable the Saves from being stored online. mine is disabled.

Also there is one settings.ini config file where you have installed the game launcher, e.g. under 'C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\GameLauncher' i think ? check this file, and change this line 'SaveOnline=false'. mine was set to TRUE, but I changed it back to false. Now my saves are also stored on my hard disk. maybe worth giving this a Try ??

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, it freezes only here now. I am using Win XP Sp2. I have bought the game in a retail store. I didnot try a new fresh install. I am using the online save mode. I will try your advices and will let you know. many thanks,

Has it worked? I'm having similar problems after receiving the repaired hidden blade from Leonardo.

I tried the fresh reinstall. But didnt succeed. Any more suggestions?

I got past it by selecting the hidden blade (pressing "2").

But mine get stuck during the cutscene with the father and the frie
nd of the father.

PLEASE HELP! I did a fresh reinstall and disabled online saving. But nothing helps!
