Hello,
Just got BIA and just after putting in the DVD to install, I get the install panel up, but the messages and icons and buttons have wierd text in them - such as...:
<?int?Setup.IDD_filepagewelcome.IDC_welcomePrompt? >
LOW.GENERAL.NEXT
I can click on the low.general.next button, and sort of get the panel which ask for which drive I want to install to, but it's still mixed up text...!
Then just goes to the BIA folder and thats it..
Any help greatly appreciated..Cheers..

Hi,
Also getting other text like :
?int? setup.idd_filepagewelcome.idc_welcomeprompt?
My PC happily plays HalfLfe 2 and the CODS.
Could this be a problem with the DVD ?
Maybe returning it and swapping for a new one will solve it..?
Any ideas..?
Thnks.

Alright Guys. Yeah I had the same **** problem. Can't believe the game has been released in this state. **** ridiculous. The way I got around this was to copy the whole CD to my hard drive and then install from my hard drive instead of from the DVD CD. Even though I got it installed this way. It STILL won't **** well work due to these NULL ERRORS that are floating around with the game. So much nonsense. Oh and just to let you guys know. I took the game back thinking all the dody text in the install screen must have meant it was a faulty disc. Got another one to try and is exactly the same. Weird as. Kyle.

Update your motherboard drivers. This worked for others with same problem.

try getting new firmware for your dvd.

I'm having the same problem. I updated the firmware for my DVD drive, updated the chipset drivers, updated the BIOS and it's still messed up. I was able to do a "network install" from my laptop to my desktop, but this is hardly a fix. Pretty frustrating....anyone find a way around this yet? BTW I have an NEC DVD RW drive, model ND-2500A....is this maybe a Windows driver issue for certain drives??
