All i want to now is what happended to all the good fps's of the past. Ya i know everyone loves halo well i don't i think it is slow clumsy and so lop sided. antone with a brain just jumps in the rocket warthog. Where are all the quakes. Am i crazy or is anyone with me.
oh ya and as you all will find out i can not spell most of the time.
ok 15 or so vies and no reply's so i guess i am alone in the world. the lonly gamer will play alone into the night.

PS: I do agree that there are some great oldschool shooters. My personal favorite is Marathon

Quake 4 is coming. Wolfenstein is still kicking. Enemy Territory is pretty big for the Euros - so if you ping halfway decent across the world you might want to give it a shot. :b hehe
Quake 3 still has a bit of a community though most of the people have moved on to UT2k4 or DOOM3. esreality.com has been down for forever.It was one of the largest places for the community to get together for Q3.

I'm with you on the Quake thing (well Quake 3 is my favourite game ever) and I love UT2K3 and 4...I admit I've never played Halo at all, but then I also never play anything online - decent broadband is expensive here so I just play lan games.
Nah, my IRC habit has been suffering because of network issues at work (oh, plus they keep trying to make me work for my pay instead of just chat and surf - bastards!)
