As all you GW players might now, a lot ofradio messages are received about sinking of neutral ships, like Finnish, Belgian, even Italian. I've only sunk one due to misidentification. What is the policy on neutrals in TGW? Is renown still awarded?

I don't think you get renown for them. More likely you will lose some for sinking them
I whent on a neutral killing spree in spain with GW....-95 renown....
