It'll probably NEVER happen! ....The control interface is just too extensive!
It would be like asking Boeing to make the cockpit of a 767 as simple as the one found in a Volkswagen! ....Can't be done!!!

The developers must only use these keyboards, something that has almost no one does (exception a couple of shooters for consoles)

I don't need a external keyboard for my console, I have this one
SH4 for example could be played only with the mouse interacting with the game interface, all the necessary commands have a clickable object in the game. For me it will makes no difference whether I control a cursor with the mouse or with the joystick on the gamepad. And the SH5 devs stated that the new interface will be even more intuitive and accessible.

Thank you all for your time in answering my question. And I will purchase SH5 for my PC, but wow it sure would have made the game a lot better playing and watching it on my 1080 TV.
You may be able to hook up your pc to the tv with an HDMI cable. A lot of the newer ones have pc input. You might check the tv owner's manual or check all the input/output slots on the tv.
Any Silent Hunter title on a console would be a monumental travesty to the end user. Aside from having the game dumbed down, you'd never be able to use any mods. If it wasn't for user created mods, SH3 and SH4 would have died long ago. SH5 will be no different.
For me, burnout is always one step away.
