Problem-installed PF, then patch-now program crashes at start | Forums

Ok, more problems.

Installed PF over FB/AEP- (after removing nero, see below) it worked.

Then installed the 3.01 patch, downloaded from the link in the PF forum sticky.

Now it freezes on startup every time, have to reboot computer.

Question- how to fix it? Do I have to uninstall everything,then reinstall everything, including prior versions of Il2? Can I just somehow uninstall just the patch files? How do I save missions and skins if I have to reinstall?

You have alot of questions and some problems.

Having resolved the Nero problem, the d/ls are specific. First one, then the other. (3.01 then 3.01 new)


Please post your DxDiag to look for possible reasons why.

Steve- sorry for the multiple problems- I just got the PF program an hour ago and obviously, it hasnt been an easy install. I do greatly appreciate your help.

OK, did I screw something up? I just downloaded the 3.01m.exe file and ran it. I didnt see 2 versions of 3.01/3.01 new to install.

I am not getting any DxDiag message to post- the computer just freezes and must be restarted.

What do you suggest is the next step?

click on steve's link for DxDiag instructions, you don't run the game to do this, you just have to be able to boot to the desktop.
